What We Believe

The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Bible is God's written revelation and that the 66 books of the Bible given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit are the plenary Word of God (1 Cor 2:7-14; 2 Pet 1:20-21).

We believe that the Bible is the only infallible rule of faith and practice (Matt 5:18; John 10:35; 2 Tim 3:15-17).

We believe that there is only one true and living God, who is infinite, all-knowing and perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut 6:4; John 4:24; Matt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14).

* God the Father: We believe that God the Father, the first Person of the Trinity, orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose.

God the Son: We believe that Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, possesses all the divine excellencies, and in these He is coequal and coeternal with the Father.

* God the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, eternal and possessing all the attributes of personality and deity.

We believe that man was created by God in His image and likeness.  Man was created free of sin for the purpose of glorifying God, enjoying God's fellowship, and living a life in obedience to God's will (Isa 42:7; Col 1:16; Rev 4:11).

The Fall

We believe that, because of Adam's sin of disobedience to the Word of God that man incurred the penalty of spiritual and physical death and became subject to the wrath of God.

We believe that all men were in Adam, therefore sin passes to all men of all ages, with the exception of Jesus Christ (Ps 14:1-3; Jeremiah 17:9; Rom 3:9-18; 5:12).

We believe that salvation is totally a work of God by grace based on the redemption of Jesus Christ, through His shed blood, and not by any human merit or work (John 1:12; Eph 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18-19).

The Church

We believe that everyone who places their faith in Jesus Christ are brought into an elected Body called the church, by the Holy Spirit, and sealed for the day of redemption (1 Cor 12:12-13; Eph 4:30).

We believe that the church is a unique spiritual organism made up of all born-again believers, of which Jesus Christ is the head.  The church is distinct from Israel, a mystery not revealed until this present age (Eph 2:11-3:6; 1:22; 1 Cor 10:32; Eph 5:32).
